How long has Acenet been in business and where are most of your customers located?

Acenet, a Michigan corporation, was incorporated in 2003, and has had the privilege of serving customers located in all 50 states, and 191 countries the past decade.

Where is Acenet's datacenter located?

The data center, network operations center and support operations are located in Southfield, Michigan.

How soon will my service be up?

Once an order is validated and verified, your service should be turned up within 24 hours. However, this may vary depending on the availability of the hardware in stock.

Do you have up-time statistics?

Acenet has a 99.9% Up-time Guarantee! And, to back it up, if your service is not up 99.9% of the month, we will credit you for any down time that occurs on a pro-rated basis.

Please note that this guarantee applies only to unscheduled outages. Occasional planned server/network maintenance may be necessary.

Is there a discount for annual payment?

The great thing about our VPS and Dedicated Server plans is you get rock bottom pricing on a monthly term; you are not forced into any long-term commitments nor prepayments to get the lowest price. You get the absolute best price paying one month at a time.

If you wish to pay in advance for a year of service, you may do so by submitting a ticket with your request to Sales and Billing from within your Helpdesk.

Can I have more Dedicated IPs added to my server order?

Additional IP addresses can be added to your server after a one month probation period, with proper IP Justification. To learn more about IP Justification guidelines, kindly visit the IP Justification Guidelines webpage.

Do you perform regular backups or am I responsible for my own backups?

You are responsible for your own back-ups. However, we do offer back-up solutions.

For both Virtual and Dedicated Servers, CDP Remote Back-Up Storage Service is available as an option. To find out more about or to order this service, kindly submit a ticket to Sales and Billing from within your Helpdesk.

For Dedicated Servers, you have the option of adding an additional Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to your order to be set up as a back-up drive. This would need to be noted in the “HDD setup and Partitioning” field during your order.

How should I partition my dedicated server?

Our recommended configuration is to load the dedicated server with three total hard drives. Two drives would be arranged in a RAID-1 and the third drive would be used for backups.
