Change an Email Account Password in cPanel

Perform the steps below if you wish to reset your email account's password.

[1] Login to your account's cPanel using your cPanel username and password.

[2] Click on the <img style="vertical-align: middle;" title="Email Accounts" src="https://esupport.acenet-inc.net/knowledgebase_images/cpanel_email_accounts.jpg" alt="Email Accounts" width="52" height="56" /> icon within the 'Mail' section of your cPanel.

2) Click 'Change Password' to the right of the email account you're wanting to change the password for.

3) Use the <img style="vertical-align: middle;" title="Password Generator" src="https://esupport.acenet-inc.net/knowledgebase_images/cpanel_pass_generator.jpg" alt="Password Generator" width="133" height="25" /> button to generate a randomized alphanumeric secure password.

4) Copy the password provided and store it in a safe place where you can reference it later.

5) Check the 'I have copied this password in a safe place.' box.

6) Click the <img style="vertical-align: middle;" title="Use Password" src="https://esupport.acenet-inc.net/knowledgebase_images/cpanel_use_password.jpg" alt="Use Password" width="85" height="21" /> button.

7) Click the <img style="vertical-align: middle;" title="Change Password" src="https://esupport.acenet-inc.net/knowledgebase_images/cpanel_change_password.jpg" alt="Change Password" width="119" height="24" /> button.</html>
