If you wish to transfer ownership of a product/service (including registered domain names), or even your entire Acenet account to someone else, you would need to submit a ticket through the Client Area to Sales and Billing requesting for the ownership transfer. Please include the following details in your Ownership Transfer ticket:

1. Full Name of the new owner 2. Email address of the new owner 3. List of Service(s) you'd like transferred

Acenet will then contact the individual that you'd like to transfer ownership to and provide them with a link click-on to accept the Ownership Transfer request and register with Acenet. Once they've registered with Acenet, they are asked to respond back to our ticket/email to let us know, so we may process the ownership transfer as soon as possible.

If the individual does not reply or refuses to accept the ownership transfer, the service(s) will not have its ownership transferred. So, unless you receive a confirmation from Acenet that the ownership has been transferred, you'll resume being responsible for the service(s).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If there is domain registration(s)/ associated with the service you're wanting to transfer ownership of, you may want to consider transferring ownership of the domain registration(s)/hosting as well. Please remember that you may want to update the WHOIS information of the domain name before proceeding with the ownership transfer.

You can change the WHOIS information of a domain name from within the client area. Here is our Knowledgebase Article:
