If there's anything we can do to keep you happy and for you to continue to have your domain name registered with us - get in touch with us at our Helpdesk

If you still wish to transfer your domain name away from Acenet, kindly follow the instructions provided below to obtain your domain's EPP/authorization code.

[1] Log into your Client Area

If you do not have access to your billing account with us, you can request a password reset here:

Client Area Password Reset

[2] Click on My Domains under the Domains tab.

[3] Click on Manage Domain to the right of the domain you're wanting to transfer away.

[4] Click on the Auto Renew tab and then Disable Auto Renew.

Please ensure you have access to the registrant contact email address located under the WHOIS information for the domain. Please review this guide to view/update your WHOIS information: http://kb.acenet.us/Change_your_domain_registration_WHOIS_Contact_Information
Optional: You're unable to update your domain's name servers while the transfer is processing, which usually takes a couple of weeks to complete. So, you will want to make sure your domain is pointed to the proper name servers before initiating the transfer. You can do so under the 'Nameservers' section. Click the button under the 'Nameservers' section if you update your domain's name servers.

[5] Make sure that 'Registrar Lock' is disabled by clicking the Registrar Lock tab and then Disable Registrar Lock.

[6] Click on Management Tools and then Get EPP Code. Your EPP code will be emailed to the registrant email address.

For .UK domains, kindly submit a ticket to our Sales and Billing department requesting to have the domain's IPS TAG changed to the new registrar's IPS TAG. Please be sure to provide the IPS TAG new registrar in the ticket.
