If your domain is registered with Acenet, you can update its contact (WHOIS) information, such as the owner's name, address and email address, in the Client Area.

Changing the owner's (registrant's) name, organization or email address can place a 60-day transfer lock on the domain. During that time the domain can't be moved to another registrar.

1. Log in to the Client Area.

2. Click Domains, then My Domains.

3. Click the domain you want to update.

4. Click Contact Information in the menu on the left.

5. Update the contact details and click Save Changes.

A verification email may be sent to the domain's current owner email address to confirm the change. It can take several hours for the update to show up in WHOIS lookups.
