What is CageFS?
CageFS is a virtualized file system that encapsulates each shared hosting customer in their own private virtual space. This means that each cPanel account is completely isolated from every other account.
The largest reason to install CageFS is increased server security.
- Prevents users from scanning the server for vulnerable files, and prevents users from gaining root access and affecting system binaries.
- Prevents users from detecting and accessing other user accounts on the server.
- Prevents access to system configuration files.
CageFS requires a CloudLicense license for your Cloud or Dedicated server.
