Before you can setup your email account in Windows Live Mail or any local email client, you need to create it. If you have access to cPanel, you can view our knowledgebase article on Creating an Email Account

( 1 ) Click on the 'Accounts' tab.

( 2 ) Click the Livemail email icon.jpg icon.

( 3 ) Enter your full email address into the 'Email address' text field.

( 4 ) Enter your email address' password into the 'Password' text field.

( 5 ) Specify your name in the 'Display name for your sent messages' text field.

( 6 ) Click the Livemail next.jpg button.

( 7 ) Select 'IMAP' from the 'Server type' drop down.

( 8 ) Enter your domain name into the 'Server address' text field under the 'Incoming server information' section.

( 9 ) Enter your domain name into the 'Server address' text field under the 'Outgoing server information' section.

( 10 ) Enter your full email address into the 'Logon user name' text field.

When Windows Live Mail requests your email address, you must input your full email address. Do not input your cPanel username. A full email address is of the form:

where 'account' is the mailbox name you have setup and 'mydomain.com' is your domain name.

( 11 ) Click the Livemail next.jpg button.

( 12 ) Click the Livemail finish.jpg button.
